RECIPE
Sift together1 ½ Cups of flour¼ teaspoon salt4 teaspoon baking powder
Chop 1 packet of seedless dates (can add extra)Add ¾ cup boiling water over the datesAnd 1 teaspoon bicarb of sodaKeep aside to soften Smash with smasher
Cream 2 tablespoon full Butter With ¾ cup normal white or brown sugar (can use castor sugar may use extra sugar)Beat till creamyAdd 2 Eggs well beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (add extra)And beat well all till light and fluffyNow to the creamy mixture alternate Gradually add the cooled dates mixture by alternating with the flourAdd ¼ cup orange juiceMix wellPour into a greased casseroleAnd bake in oven at 180 * for +-40-45 minutes or still.the square comes out cleanWait 5 minutes
ThenSee recipe for the creamy sauce belowIn pot melt1 Dessert spoon butter½ cup white or brown sugar Vanilla essence 1 can evaporated milk or nestle dessert cream Boil till smooth and the consistency is like custardy and light toffee colourPour this hot sauce over the hot pudding
