2 cups sugar3 cups water2 dessert spoons brown vinegar1 teaspoon golden syrupquarter teaspoon butter1 bottle red colouring
boil on medium heat for about half an hour until big bubbles form, add half a teaspoon cream of tartar & boil for a little longer about 20 minutes...You will know your syrup is done when tested in ice water and at hard crack stage Time varies on everyones stoves so you'll just have to watch it carefully!
