INGREDIENTS
Makes ±40 squares
500g semolina (rava)500g sugar ½ cup water 1 tin condensed milk 1 teaspoon. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon. Vanilla 50g Cashews Food color of your choice
METHOD
Grease the tray with oil, butter or ghee (Clarified butter).Dry roast the semolina until it is light brown in color and set it a side.In a pan add sugar, water and condensed milk, a d mix until till the sugar has desovled over a low heat.Once the mixture thickens add in the Cardamom powder and vanilla and mix well for another 2 to 5 minutes. now add in the roasted semolina and mix well. Continue mixing for around 10 to 15 minutes. . Add in the ghee (Clarified butter) little at a time mixing well, untill all the ghee (Clarified butter) is incorporated. Now add in the cashews and mix until the cashews is distributed evenly.Now add in food coloring of your choice, or avoid adding food coloring.Remove from heat, and transfer to the prepared tray, let it sit in the fridge to cool completely.Once cooled completely sauce into squares are serve.
