500g beef fillet2 tablespoon butter1 teaspoon ground green chillies1 teaspoon salt½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper1 teaspoon dhana jeeroo powder½ teaspoon paprika powder1 tablespoon garlic paste4 tablespoon Bbq sauce2 sprigs thyme
1. Mix all ingredients but butter and bbq sauce to make a paste.2. Massage some onto fillet.3. Heat butter on high in pot.4. Place fillet in pot, searing all sides.5. Remove from heat. Allow to rest. 6. Cut into 5cm thick medallions.7. Heat a grill pan. Place medallions in pan and cook for 5min on each side.8. In a saucepan, add bbq sauce with paste and few blobs butter and let reduce to a basting sauce.9. When steak is done, pour sauce over.10. I served with mushrooms, sweet potato fries and creamed spinach.
