RECIPE

1 cup urad dhal (black gram lentil) soak & wash till all dirt is out.
Add ¼ cup chana dhal rinse & put in pressure cooker with oil stir well & put on for 30 minutes, then stir & put on further 30 minutes.
If not boiling in pressure cooker then boil in normal pot till dhal is soft then blend with hand blender till completely fine.
In small dish put about 1 & ¼ cup buttermilk1 teaspoon garlic1 teaspoon chilli garlic paste½ teaspoon tumeric2 teaspoons fine Coriander powder1 teaspoon fine cumin powder1 teaspoon red chillies½ teaspoon coarse chillies½ teaspoon @sujees_masala green masala1 tablespoon vinegar2 tablespoons lemon juice Mix & add to dhal mixture. Braise 1 med onion in little oil till light brown add to pot mix well & cook for awhile add chopped coriander leaves.

1 cup mielie meal2 cups cake flour1 ½ teaspoons salt2 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter) (Clarified butter)Hot tap water to make dough.
Mix all ingredients. Make dough with hot tap water. Knead well. Roll round, not thin and cook with ghee (Clarified butter) (Clarified butter) on tawa. Makes 4 small rotis.
Serve urad dhal (black gram lentil) with Mielie meal roti, green chutney, papad and carrot achaar. Enjoy
