INGREDIENTS
2/3 cups warm water 2 cups flour1 teaspoon yeast ½ teaspoon sugar 1 egg ¼ cup full-fat Greek yoghurt Pinch of salt
In a large mixing bowl mix together water ,yeast, sugar and salt .Allow to rest for 10 minutes , until the mixture begins to froth Then add in egg and yoghurt and mix until completely combined.Using a dough attachment , slowly add in flour to form a dough Transfer dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until the dough is smooth and not sticky.
Place in a bowl and allow to rise until double in size.Preheat oven to 220°C.Divide dough into 4 equal parts and shape .Alternatively you can make one large pide. Roll dough into a long oval shape , place filling in the center.Fold the boarders in your shape and crimp the ends .Brush with a whisked egg.
METHOD
Filling : Cubed chicken fillet marinated in : 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon chillie powder ¼ teaspoon turmeric 1 teaspoon ginger garlic masala 1 tablespoon vinegar 3 tablespoon plain yoghurt 2 tablespoon veri-peri sauce Cook fillet in butter and allow to cool.Mix fillet in 3 tablespoon cream cheese.Place a layer of jalapeno sauce on the base of the pide, top with chicken , cheese , peppers , olive , feta cheese and pepper dew and bake until golden brown for +- 20 minutes
