Marinate the steak in the above ingredients (except butter, fresh cream, spring onions and dhania (coriander)) overnight or for several hours. Cook in butter on low to medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms. When done, add the fresh cream and simmer until sauce thickens. Garnish with spring onions and dhania (coriander). Serve with chips and garlic rolls/roti.
INFO & TIPS
Don’t add salt when marinating as the Steers sauce is salty.
Salt can be added later if needed.
There’s no measurement for most ingredients as it is according to taste.
I used sirloin steak. Fillet and rump could also be used.
