INGREDIENTS
1 cup rice 1 ½ teaspoon salt 1 Elachi (cardomom)1 taj1 kg mutton 1 onion3 teaspoon salt½ teaspoon arad (Turmeric)2 teaspoon dherna jeeroo powder 1 teaspoon fine dry red chillie powder 1 tablespoon red chillie garlic paste (or ginger garlic masala)1 teaspoon whole jeeroo 1 taj1 Elachi (cardomom) ¼ cup oil2 potatoes peeled and cut in 41 tomatoe liquidized
METHOD
Wash rice and boil with salt taj and Elachi (cardomom) till halfway done than strain and rinse 1 kg mutton 1 onion3 teaspoon salt½ teaspoon arad (Turmeric)2 teaspoon dherna jeeroo powder 1 teaspoon fine dry red chillie powder 1 tablespoon red chillie garlic paste (or ginger garlic masala)1 teaspoon whole jeeroo 1 taj1 Elachi (cardomom) ¼ cup oil2 potatoes peeled and cut in 41 tomatoe liquidized In a pot on med heat add oil onions taj Elachi (cardomom) and whole jeeroo braise till onions are pink than add the mutton and all the spices mix well and cook on low with lid closed till becomes abit dry than add potatoes and ½ cup water and cook till potatoes are almost done than add the tomatoes and cook 10 minutes on med low after 10 minutes turn on med high add the rice and cover with lid after about 5 minutes take spoon and mix just top of rice with curry to make rice yellow (dont mix right to bottom or even by bringing meat on top) now put on low heat and allow to steam till dry Serve with dhai papir and salaad
