INGREDIENTS
600g desiccated coconut ¾ cup milk1.5 cup castor sugar1x 395g condensed milk1 teaspoon vanilla essenceFood colour as you prefere
METHOD
Bring the sugar and milk to the boil. As it begins to boil. Switch the flame off and add the condensed milk. Mix well. Make sure all the sugar is dissolved too. Add in all the other ingredients and mix well. Divide the mixture between 2 parts. To one part add food colour. Take one part of the mixture and press it tightly in a tray lined with cling wrap. Top with the other coloured mixture and press firm till nice and smooth.Allow to set for 3 to 4 hours. Cut into cubes.I got 40 squares from this measure.
