INGREDIENTS
Pie dough2 cups flour 2 teaspoon baking powder 125 gr butter125 ml hot water 125 ml hot milk
Steak filling½ kg steak cubed ½ onion finely chopped 2 teaspoon crushed garlic ½ teaspoon salt 1/ 2 teaspoon black pepper¼ cup tomato sauce ¼ cup picalilli (chowchow)
METHOD
Pie dough2 cups flour 2 teaspoon baking powder 125 gr butter125 ml hot water 125 ml hot milk Mix all the ingredients and form a soft dough cover and leave to rest while making filling
Steak filling½ kg steak cubed ½ onion finely chopped 2 teaspoon crushed garlic ½ teaspoon salt 1/ 2 teaspoon black pepper
Cook all ingredients in ¼ cup oil till tender and soft on low heat Add¼ cup tomato sauce ¼ cup picalilli (chowchow)Mix well Roll out ¾ of the dought and place in square cake tin or ovenproof bowl add the steak filling roll out a cover with remaining dough seal the edges Egg wash Sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds Bake @ 160 till golden and brown
