INGREDIENTS
1 kg mince, chicken/steak/mutton2 onions grated (squeeze out water)4 slices bread (remove crusts, dampen)½ bunch dhania (coriander) (chopped)2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)½ teaspoon white pepper1 ½ teaspoon dhana jeeroo (coriander cumin) powder1 teaspoon ground garlic 1 tablespoon ground green chillies (or to taste)2 eggs (beaten)
Also needed-Sliced breadMargarineTomato saucePotatoes (cut into thick chips)Chips spice or salt and chilli powderSliced cheese
METHOD
1. Freeze extra frikkadels, fry as many as you need.2. Wash mince, squeeze out water, add bread to mince and all the spices, chillies, garlic, greens and eggs to bind.3. Form frikkadels in greased hands.4. Leave to rest in fridge for 2hrs or till ready to fry.5. Fry in oil on medium heat, till cooked through and golden on either side.6. Fry chips and season.7. Spread margarine on inside of a slice. Place on cheese.8. Slice frikkadels in halves and place on.9. Place on chips and squeeze over sauce.10. Close sandwich and butter both outer sides of sandwich. Toast till golden and crispy on either side.
