INGREDIENTS
2 cups cake flour⅓ cup ordinary sugar1 egg1 medium cooked potato (dry mashed)1 teaspoon baking powderMilk (as needed)Desiccated coconut
Syrup-1 cup sugar1 cup water
METHOD
1. Sift flour. Add sugar, mash and egg.2. Add milk as needed to make a thick batter.3. Allow to stand for a while. Add baking powder before frying.4. Drop spoonfuls into deep hot oil, fry till golden.5. Dip into syrup after frying.
INFO & TIPS
Note: Dip the goolgoolas into cooled syrup, and very lightly sprinkle coconut over. Or may leave coconut off.
