INGREDIENTS
Hake recipe with ingredients found at the bottom
METHOD
Marinate Hake:½ kg Hake fillet1 teaspoon lemon pepper 1 teaspoon fish spice ½ teaspoon fresh green chillies ½ teaspoon white pepperSqueeze fresh lemon juice
Batter:1 cup self raising flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 2 tablespoon corn flour 1 egg white beat till stiff½ cup milk½ cup water drop of egg yellow coloring
Tartar Sauce:½ cup yoghurt 2 tablespoon Mayonnaise 1 tablespoon diced onion 1 teaspoon fresh Parsely Salt to taste(mix the above and refrigerate)
Coat Hake in the batter and deep fry on medium high heat until golden.
Jimmy's Cheesy Garlic Rolls:2 tablespoon butter 250ml fresh cream 2 tablespoon Steers garlic sauce 2 tablespoon Mayonnaise Bring to a boil
Slit rolls in the center, place in Pyrex dish, pour sauce over rolls , add grated cheese, fresh parsely and place in oven until cheese has melted.
INFO & TIPS
Can make onion rings with leftover batter
Serve with either chips, savoury rice, creamed Spinach and butternut
