METHOD
Potjie 1 onion (roughly chopped)2 table spoons of butter4 tablespoons of oil4 cloves1 Bay leave1 whole dry chili (break into pieces)5 Elachi (cardomom) pods (crack open to release flavor)6 black pepper whole1 whole aniseed star
Braised all of that until the onions is nice and translucent and you kept the aroma from all the herbs
Then add 1 kg of chicken potjie seasoning and curry powder with just enough water to cover the meat
Let that cook checking if the water level is sufficient. Cook for longer if meat isn't soft
Once meat is soft add your potatoes, carrots, mushrooms oh an baby marrows Let this cook until veggies are soft
