INGREDIENTS
Base:2 cups self raising flour1 cup double cream yoghurt½ teaspoon salt
Pizza Sauce-1 tablespoon oil1 tin tomato onion mix½ teaspoon salt½ teaspoon pepper½ teaspoon chilli powder½ teaspoon coriander powder½ teaspoon cumin powder1 teaspoon dried oregano¼ cup water
Topping Options-Thinly sliced onionsSliced precooked garlic polonyCooked steak strips/ chicken cubes(Avocados, peppers, peppadews, olives, feta, baby plum tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, sliced chillies, fresh herbs etc.)
METHOD
Pizza Sauce-1. Heat oil in a pot.2. Add tomato onion mix with spices and water and simmer until the tomatoes have softened and thickened into sauce.
Bases-1. Grease well 2x round tart tins. 2. Sift flour, mix will salt and yoghurt and form soft dough.3. Divide into 2 and roll into thick rounds slightly larger than the pans.4. Carefully place, without stretching the dough, into pans and gently press the pizza dough up on the sides to form a small lip. 5. Poke pizza bases all over with a fork.6. Bake in preheated oven at 180degC for 15min.
Assembly-1. Spread on pizza sauce over bases. 2. Place on toppings of choice. 3. Sprinkle on mozzarella and gouda cheese. 4. Garnish with dried mixed herbs and diced rainbow peppers. 5. Place back in oven to heat through and melt cheese.
