Doughnuts: 2 cups flour2 tablespoon sugar ½ teaspoon salt2 teaspoon dry yeastPinch of nutmeg2 tablespoon melted butter1 egg¾ warm milk ( add as required ) Glaze:1 cup icing sugar2 tablespoon melted butter Pinch of cinnamon Pinch of salt2-3 tablespoon milk ( add as needed)
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and make a smooth dough. Seal in a closed container. Leave to rise for two hours. Roll out the dough( medium thinkness) about 8mm. Cut out doughnuts and then leave to rise for another 15 minutes. Fry in shallow oil on low heat.Dip in glaze while still hot. Another option is to dip in nutella and add sprinkles.
