METHOD
In a mixing bowl, add sifted flour, yeast, sugar, fine salt. Drizzle veg oil... Add water to make dough. Cling wrap, let dough rise for an hour. Keep in a warm place.
Once dough bulked in size, divide dough into 3 portions equally, now take each dough and shape into a rectangle, using your hands elongate the length, next fold the upper part towards the centre, then bring the lower part to the centre and seal. Next roll into a bugeatt shape. If you prefer divide the dough into two parts.
Place these baguette on greased baking pan. Allow to rise for another 25-30 minutes
In the meantime preheat oven to 200 deg for 10-12 minutes.
Once dough risen, sprinkle flour and make the dents or diagonal cuts on the baguettes. Seseme seeds optional.
Bake baguettes for 15-20 minutes. Use a "Bain marie" water bath, French word for water, by adding a cup of water to the tray on the bottom level, with steam excellent result. These should be feather lite and enjoyed hot with butter spread and a lovely cuppa tea ❤️🙏🌹
