INGREDIENTS
125g butter
¼ cup cocoa
1 cup water
½ cup oil
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon bicarb
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
½ cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
For the Sauce-
250g butter
½ cup cocoa
¾ buttermilk
1 cup castor sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
METHOD
Combine the butter, cocoa and water on stove till boils. Add oil to above. Sift flour and sugar together separately.Take cocoa mixture and pour in flour and sugar, mix well.In a separate bowl, beat eggs until fluffy. Add eggs to the above mixture. Add bicarb, vanilla essence and buttermilk and mix well. Grease a big dish. Bake for 30-35mins on 180¤C..
For the Sauce-
Combine all ingredients, bring to a boil and keep stirring as the buttermilk musnt get lumpy.
While cake is still hot cut into squares and pour hot sauce over.. Add pecansServe with icecream
