1. Braise cinnamon sticks, onions, chilli in 2 tablespoon oil until golden brown.3. Add tomato, let it simmer.4. Add masalas and a ¼ cup water , let it simmer.5. Add potatoes and 1 cup of water , let it cook until nearly soft.6. Add chicken pieces and cook until chicken and potatoes are soft. (taste to see if any more salt needs to be added) 7. Add rice and 3.5 cups of water, let it cook until rice soaks up water and ready to be served.
