INGREDIENTS
3 small pies cinnamon sticks1.5 onion (chopped fine)1 chilli (sliced)4 teaspoon leaf masala3 teaspoon chicken curry masala3 teaspoon Mother in law masala3 teaspoon curry powder1 teaspoon turmeric2 teaspoon salt2x tomato (grated) 3.5 cups of white rice Potatoes Chicken (5 piece braai (bbq) pack)
METHOD
1. Braise cinnamon sticks, onions, chilli in 2 tablespoon oil until golden brown.3. Add tomato, let it simmer.4. Add masalas and a ¼ cup water , let it simmer.5. Add potatoes and 1 cup of water , let it cook until nearly soft.6. Add chicken pieces and cook until chicken and potatoes are soft. (taste to see if any more salt needs to be added) 7. Add rice and 3.5 cups of water, let it cook until rice soaks up water and ready to be served.
INFO & TIPS
*serves 10( or save the rest in the fridge for tomorrow's lunch /supper 😁).
can be eaten with atchar or plain yogurt.
* Always add HOT water, NOT cold.
