French toast 2 slices of bread Make a mixture with: ½ cup of milk 1 egg1 tablespoon sugar Dash of vanilla essence Dip bread in mixture and then push into a greased muffin tray. Bake at 180 for 30- 35 minutes or until golden. Custard Bring the following to a boil in a pot: 1 ½ cups milk2 tablespoon butter 3 tablespoon sugar
In a separate bowl, mix together 2 tablespoon cornflour½ cup milk
METHOD
Now mix in the egg and vanilla essence. The egg needs to be mixed in throughly. Add the egg mixture to the grated milk mixture by poring in slowly while whisking quickly. The mixture will start to thicken. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 15 minutes. To assemble, spoon custard into the middle of your French toast cups, dust the top with cinnamon and drizzle maple syrup.
