2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon baking powder2 teaspoons baking soda3β4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder2 cups sugar 1 cup vegetable oil1 cup hot coffee 1 cup milk2 large eggs1 teaspoon vanilla
Sour cream icing / ganache
75 grams butter175g galaxy dark milk chocolate an milk mixed1 tablespoon golden syrup 125ml sour cream200/300g icing sugar use till your required consistency is reached 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
METHOD
Preheat oven to gas mark 7 (bring it to 5/6 wen you put the cake in) In a large mixing bowl, sift together dry ingredients.Add oil, coffee and milk and mix at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and beat 2 more minutes. Expect batter to be thin.Pour into a 2x 9" round pans. Bake about 30 to 45 minutes. Cool in pans for about 15 minutes and then cool completely on racks.While cake is cooling make the icing
Method for sour cream ganach
In a sauce pan melt butter an chocolate on a low flame till well combined (u do not want it to boil just melt together) allow to cool. Once cooled add in the golden syrup vanilla an the soured cream mix well an transfer to a food processor or a stand mixerSift your icing sugar an gradually add it into the food processor or mixer into the soured cream mixture untill the desired consistency is reached
Sandwich your cakes with whipped fresh cream an pour over your soured cream ganache Decorate with dried rose petels An enjoy this amazing delicious unthinkably tasty cake π
