250g butter200g fine vermicilli 2 cups water¼ cup sugar¾ cup dessicated coconut1 teaspoon fine Elachi (cardomom) (cardamom)⅓ tin condensed milk
Melt butter in a pot.Add vermicilli and braise on medium heat for until browned.Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
Garnish with sliced almonds. Serve hot.
When purchasing vermicilli - choose a light colour so it doesnt go ectra dark when being braised.
Gently crush vermicilli while in the packaging so its easier to mix when in the pot.
Use 2 forks to mix the vermicilli while braising (one in each hand)
Taste if sweetness is suitable and adjust accordingly.
