Half a kilo beef goulash 1 medium onion 3 tablespoons white pepper 1 tablespoon garlic Salt to taste 2 cloves 4 peppercorns 2 tablespoon dark soy sauce 1 punnet mushrooms 1 tablespoon bisto1 packet of puff pastry1 beaten egg
METHOD
Fry onions, peppercorns and cloves in a little oil until brown. Add the garlic and cleaned goulash chunks. Add the soy sauce and white pepper and braise on medium heat for 30 minutes, adding little bits of water at a time. Once meat is tender, add the bisto and mushrooms and 1/ 4 cup of water Cook for another 15 minutes. Once meat is soft, remove from heat. Prepare the pastry by greasing a pie dish and then rolling out the pastry into 2 circles. Line the dish with one pastry circle. Then add the steak filling and then add the 2nd pastry circle. Seal the pie by tucking any pastry in. Press the sides with a fork and do an egg wash over the lid of the pie. Bake in oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with broccoli and cauliflower cheese bake or a butternut and feta salad. Enjoy x
