INGREDIENTS
500g beef fillet steak 1 punnet white mushrooms Half cup of cream Bunch of chopped fresh parsley 2 tablespoon crushed coarse black pepper 3 tablespoon coarse salt ¼ olive oil 1 Teaspoon garlic 1 tablespoon white pepper 2 Teaspoons Ina Paarman lemon pepper spice
METHOD
Rub crushed black pepper and salt over fillet steak pieces. Then rub of the olive oil and let the pieces rest for 30 minutes. To a very hot pan, sear the fillet on both sides for 3 minutes each and then rest for 5 minutes. To a saucepan, add a little oil and then the garlic. Add the mushrooms, lemon pepper, white pepper and stir until mushrooms are cooked - around 10 minutes on low heat. Then add the cream and simmer until cream thickens. Sauce will thicken on standing. Serve with crumbed onion rings, roast veg and baby potatoes in garlic butter
INFO & TIPS
Can add a sprinkle of rosemary to the steak rub, just gives it a more bold flavor.
You can either slice the mushrooms or leave it whole, up to you.
