1 kilo leg mutton (washed, cut and drained)
1 heaped teaspoon Ginger garlicSalt1 teaspoon Crushed chillies2 teaspoon dhania (coriander) Jeera2 teaspoon Chillie powder½ Tumeric powder2 Elachi (cardomom)2 Cinnamon sticks1 Onion sliced fine4 Potatoes, peeled, cut and poked2 tamatoes grated2 tablespoon Tomatoe puree
In a pot, add some ghee (Clarified butter) or oil and your mutton with ginger garlic, salt and your crushed chillies, whole spices and add water and cook meat till soft... If water dries and meat still abit tough, add more water, alittle at a time...
Once meat is soft, add in masalas (add according to your family preferences, so I added quarter teaspoon Tumeric, 2 teaspoon chilli powder, 2 teaspoon dhania (coriander) jeera) and onion and cook till masala is cooked, adding jus enough water so it doesn't get caught at the bottom and the spices cook...
Then add in tomatoes puree and potatoes and enough water to halfway cover the potatoes... Let it cook on low until potatoes are soft with the lid on...
Once potatoes are cooked through, there might still be water in the pot, remove lid and let cook till water dries up alil and u see a rich gravy...
INFO & TIPS
Turn off, nd top with fresh dhania
best served as a bunny with carrot salaad
