250g softened butter
½ cup castor sugar
1 tablespoon rosewater
1 tablespoon tap water
1 cup ground almonds
2 cups cake flour
little extra castor sugar for dipping biscuits
Cream butter and sugar.
Add in rest of ingredients,you may need more flour.
Dough must be soft and easy to handle.
Take a teaspoonful of dough at a time and
shape into cashew nut or horse shoe shapes.
Place on greased baking sheet and bake at
180'C for 12-15 minutes.
When still warm,dip biscuits in castor sugar and
allow to cool before serving.
INFO & TIPS
Ground almonds can be substituted for any unsalted nuts of your choice.
Pecans work well too.
