Arrange the pear slices decoratively in a shallow greased ovenproof dish Mix the milk,cream,vanilla essence,165 ml sugar,flour and eggs to form a smooth batter and pour over pears. Sprinkle the top with the remaining sugar and dot with butter. Bake on the shelf,one above the middle at 190 celsius for 45 to 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and set. Serve hot with more cream and golden syrup.
