INGREDIENTS
Arabic dough - halved
1 Cup water1 tablespoon yeast1 Cup flour2 tablespoon sugar1 teaspoon salt2 tablespoon oil2 tablespoon milk powder
Mix above together and allow to stand for 15 minutes until frothy/bubbly
2 tablespoon oil1 Cup flour
Add to above mixture and knead into a smooth doughYou may need to add more flourAllow to proof for about 30mins or until doubled in sizeDivide and shape like koeksisters, allow to stand for 15mins then frySlit almost all the way through and fill with mixture below

500g steak mince (wash and drain well)ghee (Clarified butter)Cumin seeds1 Onion slicedRed ginger garlic masalaGreen chillies Kashmiri chilliesSaltCoriander powderTurmeric2 tomatoes gratedTomato paste (half sachet)
METHOD
Saute onion with cumin seeds in ghee (Clarified butter) until softAdd mince, allow to Braise well, breaking up and lumps formed Add in spices and masalas and cook for a few more minutesLastly Add in your grated tomatoes and tomato paste - cook until oil surfaces Do not dry out
INFO & TIPS
I added in a dash of all gold tomato sauce when heating the filling mixture
