INSPIRATION FROM THE NET mince : ½ kg beef mince 1 teaspoon garlic 1 /2 teaspoon ginger 1 teaspoon red chilli paste ½ teaspoon ground green chilli 1 large onion chopped 1 big red pepper chopped 1 teaspoon dhana powder 1 teaspoon jeera powder ¼ teaspoon paprika salt to taste 3 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 1 teaspoon taco spice ( optional , I used it 1s and the next time I didnt )
2 big tomatoes pureed 1 /2 sachet tomato puree
for the dough : I used the 10 minute arabic dough ( link below in the additional info bar ) you can alternatively use buns but much tastier in these homemade arabic dough buns
In a skillet or pot add some oil along with the onions and saute until the onions are translucent . add the chopped peppers as well as the ginger , garlic and chilies and saute until you get the aroma . lower the heat add the washed mince and start separating mince using a spoon continue doing this until the mince is nice and soft and loose . add the remaining spices and lemon juice cook for 5 minutes on medium heat add the pureed tomatoes and the paste and cook with the lid on for 15 minutes or longer add water if necessary .
ones you have baked the Arabic dough buns . smear butter onto of the buns and add the hot minces in each bun . you can be as sloppy as you want . after all it is a sloppy joe :-)
