¼ cup oil1 onion2 pods elaichie2 cloves2 pieces Aniseed1 piece cinnamon stick¼ teaspoon whole jeera¼ teaspoon dried thyme1 tray chicken kebaab2 cups rice soaked and boiled3 to 4 potatoes cut in 4s and boiledHandful peas1 to 2 teaspoon salt - depends on your taste2 tomatoes grated2 green chillies slit1 tablespoon ginger garlic3 to 4 teaspoon Rustenburg chillie powder½ teaspoon turmeric powder1 teaspoon ginger garlic masala1 teaspoon all purpose masala ( Gorima)½ teaspoon dhania (coriander) jeera powder½ cup maasFew sprigs dhania (coriander) and mint leaves
METHOD
Cut onion, add oil and whole spices with thyme and braise till onion is brownAdd all the masala and chillies to tomatoes and set asideAdd kebaab with little water so kebaab can cook to form firm ballsThen add tomatoes with spices, potato and peasLet cook 5 minutes and then add sour milk with sprigs of mint and dhania (coriander)Let it cook till it gets dry but not totally dryAdd rice and steam till water driesServe with pickle
