1 1/2kg lamb cubes1 heaped teaspoon whole jeera2 bay leaves1 cinnamon stick2 peppercorns2 cardamom pods2 whole cloves
Handful ready-fried onion (I used 1 onion thinly sliced)1/2 teaspoon turmeric1 teaspoon salt3 teaspoon red chilli powder1 1/2 teaspoon fine jeera1 teaspoon fine dhana1 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste1/2 teaspoon course black pepper
1/2 Cup tomato puree*1/2 Cup plain yoghurt*
GarnishReady-fried onionsFresh green dhania (coriander)Whole green chillies Ginger strips
METHOD
Heat ghee (Clarified butter) and oilAdd in whole spices and bay leaves - allow spice to cook a bit to infuse the oilAdd meat and turn heat upto high to seal in juicesAdd remaining ingredients except for * marked, and cook for a few minutes Mix tomato puree and yoghurt - add to meat and mix wellAllo to cook until done adding water if necessaryGarnish and serve with naan
