RECIPE
Use 1 Kg cut up Leg mutton OR Cut up Chicken Pieces
Boil 2 & ¼ cups Basmati Rice in microwave For 25 minutes it will not be fully done Drain keep asideFry 4-5 Potato halves (can steam in microwave for 15 minutes then fry) Fry chopped 3-4 medium onions in ½ cup oil 1 can Masoor (Back lentils) (drained) ¼ cup frozen Peas
For Marinate To the MuttonAdd ½ cup Maas (well beaten) ½ cup Tomato Puree1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic paste ½ teaspoon Garlic1 tablespoon Kashmiri Chilli powder1 tablespoon Crushed red Chilli1 tablespoon Dhana Jeera mix1 tablespoon Biryani mix 1 teaspoon tumeric1 lid Egg Yellow colour1 tablespoon Lemon JuiceFew 1 piece break in 2 tuj (cinnamon stick) 2 Cloves 1 Star Anise 1 BayleafFried onion (Keep aside with littke oil for wagaar garnish) Mix all togetherTo Layer in potAdd little Masoor (Back lentils)And little Rice Add all the marinated MeatsSprinkle Saffron waterLayer the rest of the Masoor (Back lentils) overAnd ¼ cup Frozen Peas Layer fried PotatoesCover with riceSprinkle the rest of the Onion with oil wagaarSprinkle with saffronAdd ⅓ cup water overCover with foil Baje at 180* for +- 2 & ½ hoursOr till Meats are soft and Biryani is doneEnjoy with Dahi Raita Salads Achar and Papar
