1 box phyllo pastry1 cup chopped almond nuts1 cup chopped pecan nuts½ cup pistachios ½ cup macadamia nuts¼ cup sugar¼ cup flour1 cup hot ghee (Clarified butter)Extra ghee (Clarified butter) (for brushing) SYRUP1 cup sugar1 ½ cup water1 teaspoon rose water2tblsp lemon juice
*Mix nuts, sugar and flour together.*Take two sheets, brush some of the extra ghee (Clarified butter) all over the top .*Sprinkle 2 tablespoon to 3tblsp of the nuts mixture and roll.Place in an oven tray. Do this with the rest. (So each log takes 2 sheets of pastry.)*Brush hot ghee (Clarified butter) over.*Cut logs into small sizes.*Bake in a preheated oven for 40mins at 140°C then on 180C for 20 minutes.Remove from the oven and pour syrup over. Make syrup by first boiling the sugar and water.*Add in the lemon juice and rose water.Boil till medium. Not too thick and not too thin. Sprinkle chopped nuts over.*Leave in switched off oven over night.*Store in an airtight container. *Either pour cold syrup over hot baked baklava or hot syrup over cold baklava.
