INGREDIENTS
1 teaspoon whole jeera2 cinnamon sticks1 sprig curry leaves3 cloves 4 peppercorns2 Elachi (cardomom)1x chicken chopped in pieces2 onions chopped finely or grated3 tomatoes2 teaspoon ground dhana2 teaspoon ground jeera½ teaspoon turmeric2 teaspoon salt or more to taste2 teaspoon vinegar1 teaspoon lemon juice1 tomato paste2 heaped teaspoon chilli powder2 teaspoon kashmir chilli powder2 teaspoon ginger and garlic masala
METHOD
Dry roast the whole spices in a pot. Once the smells start saying it's waking up, add ghee (Clarified butter) or oil. 2 tablespoons should be fine. Add the onion in and fry till its golden brown. Add all spices with the ginger and garlic masala and a little water. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the chicken, mix well and the salt. Add vinegar and leave to cook on low heat for 10 minutes. Add tomatoes and paste and a pinch sugar. Make sure it's well coated. Add lemon juice and test for salt. Cook for 5 minutes on medium hear. Add cubed potatoes and cook until soft. Add water if necessary. Garnish with dhania (coriander)
