INGREDIENTS
Kebab250-300g mince1 small cubed onion Handful fresh coriander (chopped) ½ teaspoon chilli powder½ teaspoon Salt 1 teaspoon dhana½ teaspoon Jeeru (Cumin) ¼ teaspoon Tumeric 1 teaspoon Tandoori spice ½ teaspoon crushed black pepper 1 slice of bread 1 medium egg 2-3 tablespoon fine bread crumbs
Curry1 onion4-5 tomatoes (liquidised)2 twigs of curry leaves 2 whole green chilli 3 tablespoon butter 1 teaspoon chilli powder 1 ½ teaspoon curry powder 1 teaspoon whole Jeeru (Cumin) 1 ½ teaspoon Dhana Jeeru (Cumin)1 teaspoon crushed garlic Salt to taste 2 tablespoon Tomatoe paste Oil to braise onions 1 or 2 potatoes
METHOD
Kebabs1. Add all the ingredients, except the bread, to your mince. 2. Soak the bread in ½ cup of water until soft, squeeze out the access water and add it to your mince mix.3. Shallow fry the kebaabs until done and crisp on the outside (do not over cook)4. Set aside
Curry1. Braise onions along with whole Jeeru (Cumin), Green chilli, and oil. 2. Once the onions are golden add in your liquidised tomatoes and all of the spices 3. After about 5-7 minutes add in your Tomatoe paste. 4. Add in cubes potatoes and some water (enough so the potatoes cook through) 5. Once the potatoes are almost done, add in your kebabs and cook on low6. Serve hot and with roti :)
INFO & TIPS
If you’d like you can add in sugar- 1 tsp- this neutralises the acidity of the Tomatoe
