INGREDIENTS
I am never frying another Gulab Jamun in my life after eating these little gems.This is definitely a keeper. Give it a try ASAP.
Makes :12Prep time : 5 minutes Baking time : 20 minutes
Cake ½ tin condense milk 1 teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon ground cardamom 2 tablespoon milk powder 100g unsalted butter, melted 60ml oil80ml milk160g cake flour ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda ½ tablespoon vinegar
Syrup
250ml water250g sugar 1 teaspoon rose water
METHOD
1. Pre heat oven to 170°C2. Prepare a 12 cup brownie tray with spray and cook3. In a large bowl combine all the cake ingredients, except the bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. Whisk till the batter is smooth and lump free.4. In a separate glass , add the vinegar to the bicarbonate of soda. This fizzes up quite quickly so act fast and add to the batter.5. Give the batter a final whisk for about 30 seconds.6. Divide the batter equally between the cups.7. Bake for 20 minutes.8. While the cakes are in the oven, prepare the syrup.9. For the syrup, combine the sugar, water and rosé water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once syrup reaches a boil, remove from the heat. 10. As soon as you remove the tray from the oven, pour the warm syrup over the cakes.11. Allow to cool completely in the pan before moving the cakes to a baking rack.12. Enjoy.
