INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS Filling250g chicken, cubed 1tsp. Onion powder Salt to taste 1 teaspoon. Gralic powder 1 teaspoon. Gralic flakes 1 teaspoon. Pepper 1 teaspoon. Peri peri powder 1tsp. Chilli powder 1 teaspoon. Chilli flakes 1 teaspoon. Ginger gralic paste 1 teaspoon. Tomatoe paste
For cooking 5 to 10 tablespoon. Oil ⅛ teaspoon. Mustard seeds 1 spring carry leaves1 Onion, finely chopped 1 green chilli, finely chopped 1tsp. Tomatoe paste 1 tablespoon. Cream cheese 1 green Cabbage leave, thinly sliced
Dough 1 cup flour, extra for dusting 2 tablespoon. Butter Salt ¼ teaspoon. Baking powderWater as needed
Oil for frying
METHOD
In a bowl, add the chicken and all the spices. All the ingredients used in this video will be listed in the description below. Be sure to check them out when you need them.
Mix until all the ingredients come together. Set aside until needed; there is no need to marinate.
Place the pan over medium heat and add the oil. Once the oil is hot, add in the mustard seeds, curry leaves, onion, and green chili and sauté until the onion turns translucent. Now add the chicken mixture and cook until the chicken changes color. Now add the tomato paste and cream cheese mixture and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.Remove from the heat and let it cool down completely.
To make the dough, in a bowl add flour, baking powder, salt, and butter and mix until a breadcrumb texture forms.Now add the water a little at a time, kneading after each addition.Add water and knead until a soft dough forms.Lightly dust the work surface. Now roll the dough as thin as possible.Now, using a square cutter, cut the dough.Now, using the filling we made earlier, put a small amount on top of the square that was cut out.Take the two opposite ends and bring them together, just the way shown in the video. Make sure there is no gap visible; pinch all edges.
Place a pan over medium heat and add oil. Once the oil is hot (test by dropping a small piece of dough in; it should sizzle), fry until golden brown on all sides.Now remove from the oil and let it cool slightly before serving. Look how crunchy and irresistible they have turned out.
