Step 1 :
1 kilo knuckle bones &meat pieces or chicken...(I used chicken)1 teaspoon turmeric1 tablespoon saltA little water
If using meat, pressure cook for 20 minutes.I used chicken so I pressure cooked for 10 minutes.
Step 2 :
½ c rice ½ c crushed wheat½ c barley½ c chana dhal½ c yellow moong dhal (green pea lentil)½ cup pink dhal½ cup urad white mash dhalBoil until soft.
2 cup Oats. Boil seperate.Liquidise dhal mix & oats with a stick blender
Step 3 :
In a fry pan, Heat oil, add:2 large onion 2 tablespoon whole cumin8 cinnamon sticks10 whole cardomomA few clovesA few black peppers5 whole green chillies - slit in half
Braise then add
2 tablespoon Ground Red chillies1½ teaspoon turmericSalt to taste4 tablespoon Ginger / garlic mix1 ½ tablespoon coriander powder1 tablespoon cumin powderBraise a little
Step 4 :
Add everything in large pot. Add water.Let it boil well(I simmered for 2 ½ hours)
Garnish with fresh coriander ☘️before serving
Last add in 2 tablespoon shan haleem masala and stir
This is a large quantity. Makes +- 10 litres Half the recipe to make less.
Serve with homemade naan.
