INGREDIENTS
Store bought bunsGrated cheddar cheeseRoom temperature cream cheeseMayonnaise
Chicken-500g Chicken fillet (cubed)2 cups chopped tomatoes1 onion (chopped)½ cup finely chopped coriander2 jalapeno peppers, (deseeded and chopped)3 tablespoon lime juice1 tablespoon chili powder1 teaspoon garlic powder½ teaspoon onion powder½ teaspoon fine salt1 teaspoon cumin powder1 tablespoon Tabasco/chilli sauce2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar½ cup water
METHOD
1. Combine all sauce ingredients in a blender.2. Place in a saucepan & bring to a boil.3. Lower the heat & simmer uncovered for 15min.4. Add in chicken cubes and cook until chicken is done and sauce had reduced.5. Make holes into top of buns and hollow out the center.6. Spread a spoon of cream cheese into bun.7. Sprinkle in some grated cheese.8. Spoon in chicken filling.9. Top with cheese. May place tops of buns back on if you wish and then sprinkle on cheese.10. This is freezer suitable now. 11. Place in an airtight container and bake from frozen. 12. Preheat oven at 180°C to bake until crispy.#whenruhanacooks#ruhanaebrahimrecipes
