RECIPE
• 1 packet halaal strawberry jelly
• 1 cup strawberries, thickly sliced
• 1 ready made sponge cake, use half of the cake
• 1 cup warm milk
• 500ml ready made good quality custard
• 250ml fresh cream
• 2 tablespoon icing sugar
• 2 cups strawberries, thickly
sliced
• Blueberries
1. Make jelly according to packet instructions and pour into a large bowl or into small glasses.
2. Add strawberries just before jelly sets. The jelly will fill quarter of the bowl or glass.
3. Pour milk over the cake and cut into small chunks.
4. Whisk cream with icing sugar until soft peaks form.
5. Pour custard into a bowl and fold in the fresh cream.
6. Pour some custard mixture over the jelly and layer with the cake chunks.
7. Top with half the strawberries and then with the custard mixture.
Tip: You can add chopped pecans if desired.
8. Chill for 3-4 hours.
9. Decorate with blueberries and remaining strawberries and serve
