INGREDIENTS
4 eggs¾ cup sugar¼ cup oil1 + 2 tablespoons flour2 ¼ teaspoon baking powderPinch salt½ cup water
Milkybar Icing:120g butter80g milky bar, melted± 1 cup icing sugar (add to taste)Optional: 1 tablespoon sour cream/ yogurtPinch salt
METHOD
1. Beat eggs and sugar until thick, lightened and fluffy.
2. Add oil and beat lightly.
3. Sift dry ingredients and mix in on lowest speed. Do not overmix.
4. Add water and mix.
5. Line and grease two 8" round pans or a 9x13 rectangle pan. Pour batter. Bake on 180C for ±15 minutes. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
Milkybar Icing:Cream butter. Add icing sugar and beat until lightened and fluffy. Add melted chocolate and beat. Add sour cream/yogurt (if using) and salt and beat well, until whipped and fluffy. Use to spread on or decorate the cakes.
INFO & TIPS
• This cake recipe can be made into cupcakes as well.
• Icing recipe can be halved.
• Taste your icing as you go along. Use the icing sugar amount written as a guide.
