INGREDIENTS
1 & ½ cups water1 cup White or Brown sugar1 Big Stick Cinnamon½ teaspoon Fine CinnamonLemon juice (4 teaspoon)1 teaspoon cornflour7 apples cut into strips, rinse well-any apples of your choice,2 x Pastry sheets ,rolled out & cut into circles.
Lightly dust of icing sugar🌷🌷🌷when cooled completely!
METHOD
Cook the syrup on stove until sugar dissolves for 10 minutes.Add the apples cook for a few minutes.Switch the stove off add the maizena (corn flour) (corn flour).Stir until syrup thickens.Cool down.Refrigerate for 1 hour.
In a muffin tin add the round pastry circles ,then add the cooled filling &cut up left over pastry into small cubes .Dot this on top &sprinkle of sugar onto the tartlets before baking.& brush egg on top before putting into the oven.Do not overbake them…Bake 180 degrees for 25 minutes
Njoy with ice cream or fresh cream .This can be kept in frridge for one week the filling🌸
INFO & TIPS
You can use figs or pears,strawberries it also works well in the recipe(don’t add the fine cinnamon only the stick cinnamon.
