Chocolate Chip/mini Astros Cookies

Original recipe: Woolworths Choc Chip cookies/halved and adjusted by me

INGREDIENTS

250g butter2 cups brown sugar2 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla essence2 cups oats1 teaspoon Baking powder1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda½ teaspoon salt2 ½ to 3 cups flour1 slab 80g Dairy Milk chocolate1 ½ cups chocolate chips½ cup chopped pecan nuts (optional)

METHOD

Grind oats in Magimix or food processor and set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Then add eggs and vanilla essence and beat. Add all dry ingredients and mix. Lastly add chocolate chips, grated dairy milk chocolate and chopped pecans.
Dust baking trays with flour and make small balls just a size bigger than a big marble. Leave space in between for cookies to spread. Poke a few choc chips or mini Astros (available at baking shops) into the balls. Bake at 180 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
