3 layer Chocolate chiffon cake 125 ml cocoa 500 ml flour 15 ml baking powder 125 ml oil 5 ml vanilla essence 170 ml boiling water 250 ml castor sugar Pinch salt 8 eggs separated 100 ml castor sugar
Method Mix cocoa and boiling water and leave it to cool. Sift flour,250ml castor sugar,baking powder and salt into a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the middle and add the cooled cocoa,egg yolks and vanilla essence. Mix well with a wooden spoon until smooth.add alil more water if mixture too stiff. Beat egg whites till stiff but not dry,then beat in second quantity of castor sugar. Fold egg white into the chocolate mixture flour into 3 side plate size cake tins and bake @180 degrees for 40-60 minutes until cooked.remove from oven invert Tin and leave until completely cool.
Choc sauce: 1 big tin nestle cream Chocolate 160g plain dairy milk choc Heat in a sauce pan with a little oil till choc is melted.
Whip 250 ml fresh cream with little icing sugar till stiff.
Smother whipped cream and choc sauce on each layer. Decorate top as desired.
