INGREDIENTS
500 gm Sirloin steak cut into pieces5 TB Aminas steak and chops marinade5TB Lemon juice5TB Daddas steak and chops spice1 teaspoon Mixed herbs1 teaspoon dried thyme2 teaspoon Fresh garlic and ginger chopped1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste5TB Tomato sauce1 teaspoon Black pepper powder1 teaspoon Lemon pepper powder1 tspPaprika1 tspDhania Jeeru (Cumin) powder
For the mushroom sauce
Punnet mushrooms2 TBFlour2 TB ButterHalf c Milk or cream2 teaspoon Dried thyme1 teaspoon Mixed herbsAromat (a South African Spice) to taste
METHOD
Make a marinade with all the ingredients listed and allow steak to marinate for 1 to 2 hrs.
Cook in a pressure cooker with a little water until tender. You may also cook in a pot until tender with some oil and butter and a little water until tender.
For the mushroom sauce:
Use a non stick pan and allow the mushrooms to sweat until almost dry. Keep stirring and then set aside.
Heat butter until it melts,then add the flour and stir quickly until the butter and flour is well incorporated . Then add in the milk or cream if using and whisk until the mixture thickens. Whisk well add the mushroons,and season according to taste.
INFO & TIPS
Serve with vegetables of your choice. I served with baked potato that I topped with butter,mayonnaise and I seasoned with salt,pepper and mixed herbs.
I didnt add salt as it is in the sauces
