🧈 Homemade ghee (Clarified butter) (from 750g butter)

You’ll need:
750g unsalted butter (about 3 standard blocks)
Method:
1️⃣ Melt:Place the butter in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-low heat.Let it melt completely without stirring too much.
2️⃣ Simmer:Once melted, you’ll see a white foam form on top — that’s the milk solids separating.Keep simmering gently; don’t stir.
3️⃣ Clarify:After about 20–30 minutes, the butter will turn clear and golden with tiny bubbles.You’ll see milk solids sink to the bottom and begin to turn light brown — that’s when the ghee (Clarified butter) is ready.
4️⃣ Check for aroma:It should smell nutty and fragrant, not burnt. If it smells toasted, turn off the heat.
5️⃣ Strain:Cool slightly, then strain through a fine sieve or muslin cloth into a clean, dry glass jar.
6️⃣ Store:Let it cool completely before sealing.Keeps for months at room temperature in a cool, dry spot (even longer refrigerated).
