Dates filling250g Dates¼ teaspoon. Cinnamon powder 50g Cashews 1½ tablespoon. Sugar ¼ teaspoon. Vanilla ½ c Water
Dough250g Flour 125g Sugar 125g Butter 1½ tablespoon. Corn flour1 Egg ½ teaspoon. Salt½ tablespoon. Baking powder 1 teaspoon. Vanilla
METHOD
Filling In a pan over a medium heat add Dates and water and mash the Dates, now add in Cinnamon powder, sugar, and vanilla and mix well, remove from the heat and set aside, to cool.
Dough Cream Butter and sugar until light and creamy, now add in the egg and vanilla, beat well until combined.Now sift the dry ingredients and mix well, If it's Hard to mix, use your hands and knead to form a soft dough.Divide the dough into 2.Take 1 part and spread it evenly in the tray.Now add the paste and spread it evenly. Now roll the second layer and place it on top of the date paste. Brush the top layer with milk Bake in a preheated oven @180c and bake for 30 minutes.Once cooled slice the date bars and serve
