Chocolate cake squares topped with smooth buttercream, a dollop of jam, grated chocolate, and the cutest cherry on top 🍒 — simple, pretty, and so yummy!

Cake:3 eggs, separatedBeat egg whites until stiff
Mix together:
3 egg yolks¾ cup sugar½ cup oil½ cup hot water mixed with 1 tablespoon Jacobs coffee
Add:
1 cup flour3 teaspoon baking powder3 tablespoon dark cocoa
Mix well. Fold in the stiff egg whites gently.Pour into a lined & greased rectangular baking tin.Bake at 180°C until done(or 160°C thermofan).Cool completely. Slice into squares and place into cupcake liners.
Chocolate Buttercream:
Beat 125g softened butter until fluffy.Then add:1 ½ cups icing sugar¼ cup cocoa powder2 tablespoon milkMix until smooth.
Pipe a border around each square.Add a dollop of jam in the centre.Sprinkle grated chocolate.Top with a cherry 🍒
