INGREDIENTS
2 cups white chick peas soaked overnite•DO NOT USE CANNED CHICKPEAS CAUSE U WILL WND UP WITH HUMMUS •1 med onion4 cloves garlic 1 bunch dhania (coriander) ½ cup mint leavesGreen chillies add to your desired taste 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 tspoon jeera powder 1 tspoon dhania (coriander) powder1 tspoon salt or salt to taste½ lemon
METHOD
Grind the chickpeas chillies onion dhania (coriander) garlic and mint untill u get a grainy texture but not smooth or wetBlend in all the spicesAdd saltAdd juice of half lemon Mix and from balls or patties Fry until crispy and enjoy with hummus and pita or naan
INFO & TIPS
I freeze my falafel balls or patties for an hour whilst preparing hummus and making a salad
I fry my falafel in very little oil I do not deep fry and I get a very crispy falafel
You can also make your falafel patties or balls freeze and use as required
