INGREDIENTS
2 cup chickpeas ( soak in warm water over night ) / use canned chickpeas remove all the water or brine .
1 bunch roughly cut dhania (coriander)
1 bunch roughly cut parsley
2 onions chopped
2 tablespoon crushed dhana
1 tablespoon jeera seeds
1 tablespoon jeera powder
1 ½ teaspoon salt
Oil for deep frying
Assemble :
Mini buns
Lettuce
Cucumber
Gherkins
Tahini sauce
Hummus
METHOD
in a big bowl add the soften chickpeas Drained ( this shouldn't be mashed , just soften ) roughly chopped parsley and dhania (coriander) as well as the onions give it a mix . Add this to a food processor and start to process until you find that everything is fine . Now add all the dry spices , mix well .
Add flour if the mixture is too moist .
Do not make it like a bhajia dough this should look green and groundy .
In a wox or frying pan add oil , heat up the oil and fry for a out 3 to 4 minutes , should be hard on the outside and soft in the inside .
Assemble :
Cut bun open , smear hummus , add falafel , onions , gherkins , lettuces and what you desire , top with tahini sauce .
